Will I be expected to work my normal schedule on May 2nd?
▼Yes, offices will be re-open on May 2nd and all employees will be expected to work their normal schedule, which includes travel time back to your local or home office. If you are traveling you can record your travel time as time worked
Is this a mandatory work event?
▼We highly recommend attending this event, as it presents a valuable opportunity for learning and celebration! However, we respect individual choices and understand that attendance may not be possible for everyone. In such cases, please reach out to your Developmental Coach to discuss. Adherence to your regular work schedule will be required.
Will standard out-of-state travel reimbursement apply to this event?
▼For out of state employees requiring air travel, you are expected to purchase your own airline ticket and apply for reimbursement by submitting an expense report. If the cost of the flight exceeds $500, approval from the Office PIC is required prior to purchasing. When traveling by air you are required to use coach accommodations. The two exceptions to this rule are: (1) when you are flying with the client and the client asks you to fly first class, and (2) when coach accommodations are not available at the desired time of departure. All exceptions must be approved by the Office PIC. If you wish to travel first class for any other than the aforementioned exceptions, you may do so at your own expense. Please see the ERM for more details. i. JMCo ERM Out-of-town employees will be eligible for two nights at the UF Hilton.
Can I expense Uber transportation to and from the event and how far can I Uber?
▼Employees who opt for Uber transportation to and from the event, rather than staying in the hotel, may have their expenses reimbursed. Please note that mileage coverage for Uber expenses will not exceed 50 miles round-trip.
Who do I contact for additional information or questions?
▼Please contact 'jessica.white@jmco.com' or 'samantha.roberts@jmco.com'
How will we know who will be Pied?
▼Each Partner or President has two donation buckets, “Donate to Pie” and “Donate to Not Pie”.
Anyone can donate money to “Pie” or to “Not Pie”. Do so by entering the amount you would like to donate in the appropriate bucket and clicking “Place Donation”.
Each partner/president can raise money to avoid a pie in their face. The “Donate to Not Pie” will offset the amounts raised to have them Pied. Also partner/presidents can donate to their own cause not to be Pied.
What is the Total Raised vs Net Amount?
▼The Total Raised amount is the total amount of both buckets which will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The Partner or President who will get pied will be based on the greatest Net Amount raised.
For example:
Suzanne has $1500 raised “To Pie“, she raises an additional $1,000 donated “To Not Pie“ and now has a Total Raised of $2500, with a Net Amount of $500.
Jay has $1000 raised “To Pie“ and has not been able to raise donations “To Not Pie“. His Total Raised is $1000 with a Net Amount of $1000. Jay gets the pie!
How will I pay the amount I donated?
▼After the closing of Donations on April 22nd, the firm will calculate the total amount due from each employee that has donated. An invoice will be sent from James Moore & Co which can be paid by check or by contactingCarrie Sweetenfor ACH or Wire instructions.
Anyone, (excluding Partners/Presidents), that donates a minimum of $10 will have their name placed in a drawing for the opportunity to pie the Partner or President!
Will Pie a Partner be filmed to watch again at a later date?
▼Oh, you're in for a treat! This epic event will be captured on film, so you can relive the magic over and over again. Get ready to groove and witness an iconic moment that will go down in James Moore history!
